TOWIE’s Arg is back on The Jump after Linford Christie pulls out due to injury

The 28-year-old is returning to the competition after more bad luck forces yet another celebrity contestant to quit

TOWIE’s Arg might have been eliminated from The Jump on Sunday, but he’s already back on the slopes.

The 28-year-old reality TV star is set to return to the competition and replace Linford Christie, after the Olympic sprinter pulled out due to injury.

“It’s with regret that Linford Christie has to withdraw from The Jump,” Channel 4 confirmed in a statement. “Despite recovering from a hamstring injury he was not left with enough time to train for this weekend’s show and reach the standard needed to compete.”

Christie is the fifth celebrity to depart the The Jump 2016 following an injury. Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli was forced to pull out after he fractured his ankle on Sunday night, while Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle underwent neck surgery last week following an accident in training. Swimmer Rebecca Adlington also quit after dislocating her shoulder, while Casualty actress Tina Hobley broke her arm in two places earlier in the competition.

Arg announced his return himself in a funny Instagram video where he says Linford Christie has passed him the baton:

Arg also added the hashtag #PrayforArg, no doubt in reference to the already high number of casualties in this year’s winter sports competition…

The Jump continues on Sunday at 7:30pm on Channel 4
