Kellie Bright has revealed that her biggest blunder on the set of EastEnders was when her silicone bra pad fell out.
“I have a little bit of help in the breast department to play Linda and there was a scene where one of my chicken fillets fell through my bra and landed in the road as I was running,” says the actress, who plays Queen Vic landlady Linda Carter on the BBC soap. “I just had to pick it up and carry on going. Afterwards, I was crying with laughter.”
Danny Dyer, who stars as Bright’s screen husband Mick, adds: “There was a moment in the early days when she was running after the Carters’ car and her chicken fillet dropped out and she just carried on with the scene. I remember thinking, ‘what a trouper’.”
The pair are quizzed Mr and Mrs-style in the new issue of Radio Times, with each trying to prove that they know more about the other’s foibles. When asked about Dyer’s most embarrassing moment, Bright guesses: “It has to be Danny in his swimming hat, trunk and goggles. It was the scene where he had to swim his length in the swimming pool. He had his little tummy and his man boobs out. His ‘hairy Lils’, as he calls them.
“And Matt Di Angelo was in the same scene looking all buff and shaved. I’ll go with that but, to be honest, Danny doesn’t really get embarrassed.”
But her co-star disagrees as to what it was that had fazed him the most. “It would probably be me doing karaoke. Mick had to sing Pretty Flamingo really passionately to Linda and I did find that a bit embarrassing.”
