See your capital city destroyed by zombies in posters for Brad Pitt’s World War Z

London's burning in the latest artwork for the zombie blockbuster - and so are Sydney, Paris, Barcelona and New York City

While it’s not a sight we ever want to clap eyes on in real life, the image of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament going up in flames in a new poster for Brad Pitt’s blockbuster World War Z is certainly attention grabbing.

A series of artwork to coincide with the release of the zombie thriller throughout June shows major cities around the world in various states of apocalyptic destruction. Sydney’s Royal Opera House is smouldering, Rome’s St Peter’s Square is a scene of chaos and Barcelona’s La Sagrada Familia is also looking worse for zombie wear.

Based on the 2006 novel by Max Brooks, World War Z follows United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt) as he travels around the world trying to put the brakes on a global zombie pandemic that no army or government is capable of preventing. And by the looks of the new posters, he’s got some work to do…
