Paddy McGuinness to front new Channel 4 comedy

Paddy's TV Guide will see the Take Me Out host unearth weird and wonderful TV

Get ready for a giggle – the charming host of ITV’s Take Me Out is set to host a new Channel 4 show.

The comedian turned presenter will be swapping match-making for bizarre telly in his new programme, Paddy’s TV Guide.

The new comedy will see Paddy offer viewers a guide to life through the medium of weird and wonderful TV. Paddy will unearth forgotten footage and offer his own commentary on most the outrageous, funny and downright bizarre television programmes ever made

Paddy, who recently hosted Hotel GB on Channel 4, said: “I can’t wait to start on Paddy’s TV Guide. It incorporates three of my favourite things. Laughing, sitting down and watching telly.”

Tom Beck, the Commissioning Editor for Channel 4 Entertainment, added: “I’m delighted that Paddy has agreed to front this new comedy show for Channel 4. The combination of Paddy’s brilliant eye for detail and TV’s most peculiar shows is going to bring some hilarious offerings.”

While Michael Kelpie – the Creative Director of ITV Studios – said: “The chance to work with Paddy McGuinness and Channel 4 was irresistible. We are thrilled to be making Paddy’s TV Guide. The team are loving every minute of it and we hope the viewers do too!”
