Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman, John Barrowman, Karen Gillan and more have been busy since leaving the TARDIS

Billie Piper

The Bad Wolf immediately shocked the tabloids by becoming real-life sex blogger Belle De Jour in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. (Fun Fact: one of her clients was Matt Smith.) This started a bit of a trend, with Piper going on to play a succession of call girls, including her current role as Brona Croft in Penny Dreadful. Apparently, that will be her final time in such a role, telling Alan Carr that she won’t be walking the streets any more.
