Stand-up comedian Terry Alderton is to leave EastEnders this summer. Alderton, who plays cabbie Terry Spraggan, made his Albert Square debut in November 2013, but will leave in July this year. The 43-year-old made the announcement this lunchtime on Twitter, explaining that Patsy Palmer’s decision to depart has altered storyline plans.
So, I’m leaving EastEnders in July :@( unfortunately Patsy leaving has changed things in the story. It’s very sad but it’s been a great ride

Palmer – who plays Terry’s love interest Bianca Jackson – announced earlier this month that she would exit in the autumn.
RadioTimes.com contacted the BBC, who confirmed the news that Alderton is leaving the BBC1 soap but would not comment further on his exit. The actor himself went on to add on the social networking site that his character is not the killer of Lucy Beale before adding in a caveat message: “Or is he?”
