Amanda Holden to guest present ITV’s Lorraine

The Britain's Got Talent judge is "covering for the queen of morning TV" for a week

Amanda Holden is guest presenting Lorraine’s ITV show, or, as she puts it, “covering for the queen of morning TV”.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge will take over next week (from the 4th to 8th April) while Lorraine Kelly enjoys an Easter break.

“I’m really excited to be covering for the queen of morning TV while she is on her Easter hols,” Holden said. “I’m looking forward to working with the team, chatting to the great guests, getting the fashion and showbiz news and of course tasting all the fab food – can’t wait!”

Holden is a dab hand at morning TV. She’s presented Lorraine once before and joined the This Morning team last year to cover Holly Willoughby’s maternity leave.

While on hosting duties, Holden will welcome actor Kelvin Fletcher, musician Professor Green, singers Fifth Harmony, actor Don Cheadle and crooner Rick Astley as guests.

Fiona Phillips has been covering the first part of Lorraine’s holiday this week.

Lorraine is on ITV weekdays from 8:30am to 9:25am
