The Hunger Games films are set in a post apocalyptic world called Panem where everyone is sectioned into twelve districts ruled over by the all powerful Capitol. The first Hunger Games film, which was based on the first book in Suzanne Collins’ sensational trilogy, saw Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark drafted in to take part in the annual Hunger Games, a compulsory event organised by the Capitol in which 24 teenagers fight to the death on live TV.
Catching Fire will see the victorious duo return to life in District 12 after winning the 74th Hunger Games. But it won’t be long before the yearly Games come around again…
Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be in UK cinemas on 22 November
