Glee creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have managed to snag a pretty big name for the next season of their anthology series American Horror Story: Lady Gaga.
Gaga (real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) has done cameos before, but her undisclosed role in the FX anthology will be her first lead role, and will span the whole series.
As American Horror Story has a different setting and characters each season (though some actors return in multiple roles), it’s hard to gauge what kind of part Gaga will have, though earlier today she tweeted a short teaser video that gave the next series a title – American Horror Story: Hotel.
Nope – she’s giving nothing away with that poker face – and her acting back catalogue offers little in the way of clues. Gaga’s past TV and film roles have been characteristically eclectic, including as a diner worker in the recent sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For:
She also popped up in Mexploitation flick Machete Kills as a shapeshifting hitman called El Camaleón, as one does.
And of course, like any celeb worth their salt she’s popped up in the Simpsons…
Hold the Applause, and restrain the Paparazzi! Yes, Gaga will do well to better that screen snog when she checks into American Horror Story: Hotel.
