Trailer: My Week with Marilyn starring Michelle Williams

Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench and Harry Potter's Emma Watson also appear in this 1950s drama

Curious fans waiting for a look at Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe in Simon Curtis’s new film, My Week with Marilyn, can rest easy as the film’s first trailer is released today.

Boasting a stellar cast including Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench and Harry Potter’s Emma Watson, the film explores the tense interaction between Monroe and Sir Laurence Olivier during production of The Prince and the Showgirl in 1957.

In the trailer, Williams’s Monroe comes across variously as witty, sexy and cunning, using her fame and beauty to charm and a young production assistant played by Eddie Redmayne, while Kenneth Branagh and Judi Dench showcase some fantastically upper-crust performances.

The film will be released in cinemas on Friday November 18.
