Grool! Tina Fey is using this summer to work on the Mean Girls musical

This news is even better than a cake filled with rainbows and smiles...

Tina Fey has the most important holiday plans anyone has ever made.

While at the Tribeca film festival, Fey revealed she’ll be spending “a whole summer” working on the Mean Girls musical she’s been writing with her composer husband Jeff Richmond and lyricist Nell Benjamin.

And we have Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper and her unborn baby to thank for that, according to Vulture

“We’re working on the musical adaptation [of Mean Girls], which we’re very excited about,” said Fey. “Thanks to Ellie Kemper’s pregnancy, we actually have this whole summer to focus on that,” Fey explained. “Normally we would be starting up in June. This year we’re going to start in August, shooting in October, and we’ll be ready to come back with season three by the end of next May.”
