Samantha Womack and Rita Simons came together eight months on from their characters' on-screen demise
Samantha Womack and Rita Simons – aka Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell from EastEnders – have reunited for a showing of the new Addams family musical, which Womack is starring in.

The pair were killed off the soap over the new year, in a gruesome swimming pool accident which saw two of EastEnders’ biggest characters leave Albert Square for good.
Their deaths came under the tenure of former EastEnders boss Sean O’Connor who dramatically quit the soap earlier this year, temporarily replaced by former showrunner John Yorke.
Womack – appearing on ITV’s This Morning in March – revealed that she and her on-screen sister Simons are still firm friends: “I speak to Rita about six times a day. You can’t give up something like that. We were together for such a long time and she still feels like my sister. I’ve come away with the most amazing friend ever.”
