Coronation Street: Rob storms the court to clear Tracy’s name!

Has Rob redeemed himself?

Coronation Street killer Rob Donovan is back in police custody this evening – but only because he opted to clear Tracy Barlow’s name by storming her court hearing.

Dramatic scenes just broadcast on the ITV soap saw Rob go some way towards redeeming himself by retrieving young Amy from the side of the road where she’d previously been abandoned before taking her back to Weatherfield.

After depositing her back on the Street, Rob made an impromptu appearance in the courtroom, where he told the forces of law and order that CCTV footage from Preston’s Petals would reveal that he was with Tracy in the shop at the time of the attack on Ken.

With Rob also 100 per cent sure of Amy’s innocence (being around hardened criminals gives him a sixth sense about these things, apparently), it now seems that two suspects can be crossed off the list of possible perpetrators when it comes to the crime of attempting to kill Ken.

As for Rob and Tracy’s future, it seems that he is now headed for solitary confinement (which he hopes will protect him from the hard nuts who want him dead), while she could still be in trouble for perverting the course of justice thanks to her false confession.

Ken, though, is still fretting that – if it wasn’t Tracy who tried to bump him off – then the real culprit must still be at large…
