Ed Sheeran doesn’t need anything more than his guitar to captivate an audience – even at Glastonbury Festival.
The singer-songwriter closed the last night of the music festival on the Pyramid Stage, leading the crowd in singalongs of A-Team, Photograph and Thinking Out Loud. Aside from one song which featured traditional Irish band Beoga, Sheeran spent his entire headline act alone on stage with just his instrument and a loop pedal.

Ed sheeran headlining Glastonbury with just his guitar and killing it with what he's come from is encouraging for the music industry.

The first time Sheeran played at Glastonbury was in 2011. Back then, he performed to around 500 people at the little Croissant Neuf stage.
This time his audience was a little bigger.

And here’s David and Victoria Beckham in the audience:

Have you ever wanted to be anywhere more than stood side of stage at Glastonbury, watching Ed Sheeran, with David Beckham?… Thought not.

Perhaps even better than that, though, is the fact that Saoirse Ronan – yes, the actress from the Galway Girl music video – was actually in the audience singing along.

With a crowd that big, you can get pretty creative. So here’s the festivalgoers at Worthy Farm creating a field of ‘fireflies’.

Oh, and here’s Sheeran wrapped in a Pride flag to top it all off.
