Kimberly Wyatt has been crowned Celebrity MasterChef champion 2015, beating off competition from fellow finalists Big Brother presenter Rylan Clark and singer Sam Nixon.
Following a final week which saw the trio cooking for the show’s unforgiving restaurant critics and serving up Michelin standard food to the cream of British female culinary talent, former Pussycat Doll Wyatt wowed judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with a faultless three-course meal consisting of a seafood soup starter, a main of loin of lamb cooked in a salt crust and a re-constructed cheesecake served with poached rhubarb.
“I haven’t felt this good in a really long time!” said Wyatt following her win. “This has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. The whole reason for being in MasterChef was because I am a new mum, and to create something for my little Willow to look up to, and I think that’s what this represents!”
John Torode said of her performance: “There’s a Pussycat who got her claws firmly into this competition and didn’t let go! Kimberly was daring, she pushed and she always did something that was a little bit on the edge.
“Kimberly’s food has changed to stuff which is refined, really interesting and very elegant.”
Gregg Wallace said: “I think Kimberly today was extraordinary, from the lady that came in here giving us berries and fish to the sort of food she is now presenting is incredible.”
“Kimberly’s food today was restaurant standard – sophisticated, stylish – absolutely brilliant.”
