It’s the super group to end all super groups. The Smiths, Abba, Simon & Garfunkel, Michael Jackson, Prince, Elton John, Madonna, Lou Reed, Aretha Franklin and countless other stars teaming up for one catchy single.
Of course, it didn’t happen quite like Band Aid, but this mind bending, lip popping music video is the closest you are going to get. A love letter to classic vinyl albums from the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Run-DMC, it’s sure to make you long for the days of full size album art and needles in grooves, before the evil Mini-Disc came along to ruin it all.
The song ‘Mayokero’ is from Israeli artist Roy Kafri, from his album Acowpella Beatbox (yes, Acowpella Beatbox). The video was directed by Vania Hermann, previously responsible for turning Dylan’s Like A Rolling Stone into an interactive channel hopping epic.
