Specially shot footage of the pair, as well as Sherlock co-star Mark Gatiss, appears in the forthcoming iOS app which gives fans the chance to join the detective's Homeless Network

“So, you want to be in the Homeless Network?” asks Sherlock.


“So you’re helping out Sherlock now?” adds a rather unimpressed sounding John Watson.

For fans of the BBC1 detective drama, the offer is certainly appealing as Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman introduce a trailer for the new iOS app Sherlock: The Network.

How impressed viewers will be by the product itself remains to be seen but is taking a look at it later today, so watch this space to find out.
