Downton Abbey v EastEnders – which will you be watching “live” on Christmas Day?

Who will win the clash of the festive titans? Vote in our poll to tell us which you'll watch as it's broadcast

The final draws for the festive fixture list have been made and we can now see who’ll be facing who in the battles of Christmas Day.

BBC1’s Doctor Who looks a good bet to beat ITV1’s All Star Family Fortunes at 7pm, Strictly v Corrie at 8pm is harder to call. But the big match kicks off at 9pm.

The Downton Abbey Christmas special on ITV1 goes head to head with EastEnders’ less opulent seasonal celebration over on BBC1.

Yes, there’s catch-up TV, there are set-top box recorders, but on a day like this, surely there’s something special about sitting down to watch a big show “live”, as it’s broadcast.

So, which will you choose: Downton or EastEnders? Vote in our poll below and let us know.

And – heaven forfend – if you’ll be watching something else entirely or not watching television at all, post a comment and explain yourself.
