Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch saw Cursed Child last night and now has serious robe envy

Luna Lovegood’s extremely jealous of the play’s Wizardwear

Madam Malkin watch out: Luna Lovegood’s apparating your way with a few changes in mind for her wizarding wardrobe.

Evanna Lynch, who played Potter’s, shall we say, off-beat pal in the films, has made a few comments after she saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on stage this weekend.

Firstly, she was ruddy pleased about the eighth story set in the wizarding world.

However, she was quick to cast her wandlight on the stage costumes – particularly on how they’ve gained a certain je ne sais quoi (that’s not a spell, don’t worry) since the films finished in 2011.

This isn’t more crumple horned snorkack talk. Luna’s speaking sense: the robes are certainly a lot swishier in The Cursed Child.

See if you can spot the difference. These are the costumes you can see on the Palace Theatre’s stage in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child…

…And here’s what you can see Luna sporting in the films…

Again, the cloaks in the play…

And the attire in the films…

We’re completely behind you Luna. Meet you at Twilfitt and Tatting’s.
