Michelle Keegan fires back at claims she wore make-up in Twitter charity selfie

The Coronation Street actress's #nomakeupselfie had attracted criticism on the social networking site


Michelle Keegan has responded to accusations on Twitter that she didn’t go au natural in the #nomakeupselfie photo she posted on the social networking site.


Earlier this week the Coronation Street actress joined millions of women who’ve ditched their make-up in aid of Cancer Research UK, sharing a bare-faced post with her 1.9 million followers: 

But the photo has since attracted accusations from one tweeter that Keegan was “clearly wearing make up” and “using a good cause for self promotion”. 

The soap star took to her Twitter account again to hit back at the claims, telling @johnb_hoyce…

The trend for #nomakeupselfies has dominated social media over the past week, growing organically online and raising millions for Cancer Research UK. Jemima Khan, Kym Marsh and Holly Willoughby are among the celebrities who have ditched their make up in support of the cause.
