The attraction between teacher Neeta Kaur and lovesick pupil Hunter McQueen sizzles next week while the pair are sunning themselves in Ibiza as part of Hollyoaks’ special holiday episodes – are the pair heading for a forbidden summer romance?
Having tagged along last-minute with mates Alfie Nightingale and Tom Cunningham on their trip to the Spanish isle, McQueen twins Hunter and Prince are ready for some proper partying.
As Ellie Nightingale and Holly Cunningham try desperately to shake off their geeky brothers and their embarrassing mates so they can enjoy a proper girls’ holiday, Hunter is desperate to spend more time with Miss Kaur outside of the classroom (she’s also there with best friend, and headteacher, Sally St Claire) to prove he’s not just a smitten schoolboy.
When the gang arrive on Monday’s E4 episode, Prince has the typical lads-on-holiday rites of passage when he decides to get a tattoo when he’s drunk (it doesn’t end well), while newcomer Brody Hudson immediately catches Neeta’s eye and Hunter is heartbroken as he watches the pair flirt.
Nice Neeta realises Hunter’s humiliation and tries to let him down gently as he grapples with his jealousy, but this only makes his mates tease him and he runs off.
There’s already been some steamy moments between Neeta and Hunter, and the tutor is clearly battling her feelings for the teen as she’s convinced herself to get back with abusive ex Mac Nightingale – presumably so she can push her extra-curricular thoughts about her pupil out of her mind.
But while they’re away, will the attraction finally overwhelm them? And if so, will it be a case of ‘what goes on tour, stays on tour’?
Teasingly, by the time Neeta gets home on Thursday’s E4 showing, she’s desperate to end things with Mac – is that because she’s realised she’s in love with someone else?
Hollyoaks continues weeknights on E4 at 7pm and on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
