Coronation Street: Chesney gets stabbed! Here’s what happens next

Will Ches survive the shock attack?

Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) has been left with a stab wound in the first episode of tonight’s Coronation Street double bill after getting slashed with a broken bottle.

Poor Ches was caught in the crossfire after walking into the Bistro just as an irate Rich was losing his cool with owner Robert.

Chesney’s intention was to have a word with love rival Daniel as he aimed to reconcile with ex-girlfriend Sinead. But instead, he ended up crashing to the ground with blood seeping from his chest. Viewers have been left on tenterhooks after Robert yelled at his staff to call for an ambulance as he went after a fleeing Rich.

Corrie fans have only to wait until 8.30pm to find out what happens next, but you can expect to see Daniel tending to Ches’s injuries as he does his best to stem the flow of blood.

While they wait for an ambulance, Daniel talks to Chesney, desperate to keep him conscious. Sinead – having found out from Robert about what’s happened – rushes to the Bistro to be by Ches’s side. But when she sees a blood-soaked Daniel cradling Chesney, she assumes Daniel must have attacked him.

Later on, as the paramedics arrive and Chesney is loaded onto an ambulance, Robert admits to Michelle that Rich wants him to launder money through the Bistro. But will he admit all about the secret in his past? And will Chesney survive the attack?
