EastEnders actresses Seraphina Beh and Sydney Craven have hinted that viewers might find out more about the history of Walford High bullies Madison and Alexandra.
Asked by RadioTimes.com on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards as to why their characters act the way they do, Craven replied: “There’s a reason why they’re like this.”
Beh added: “Most people who have that kind of lifestyle tend to have a reason behind it.”
Fans of the BBC1 soap have already seen Madison and Alexandra make Bex Fowler’s life a misery and the pair are now starting to manipulate Louise Mitchell as she tries to get close to schoolfriend Travis.
Speaking about the feedback they’ve had since making their debut, Craven added: “We get a lot of feedback on Twitter, with people saying, ‘we hate them’, which we take on board. It’s a compliment – it means we’re doing what we’re supposed to be doing.”
