“Gruesome and horrifying tests” await a host of YouTube, Geordie Shore, TOWIE and I’m A Celebrity stars as ITV2 opens up its horror game show Release the Hounds to the celebs.

Alfie Deyes, Joe Sugg and Marcus Butler will be representing the YouTubers, with Marnie Simpson, Chloe Ferry and Nathan Henry flying the Geordie flag, Pete Wicks, Bobby Norris and Chloe Sims in from Essex, and Stacey Solomon, Hugo Taylor and David Morgan bringing their jungle skills, as Reggie Yates returns to host.

Release the Hounds: Famous & Freaked promises “scarier and bigger challenges than ever before” and apparently aims “to push the celebrities to the very edge” (and hopefully over it).

Filmed in a remote forest from dusk through to the dead of night, each episode sees three celebs competing to win money for their chosen charity as they face horror themed mental and physical challenges, culminating with an attempt to out-run a pack of dogs trained to guard the cash.
