Coronation Street: Billy is involved in the discovery of Callum’s body, reveals Daniel Brocklebank

Will Billy be the one to find out about Sarah's complicity in the crime at No 8?

Daniel Brocklebank has revealed that vicar Billy Mayhew will be in the thick of the action once Callum’s corpse is dug up on Coronation Street.

Billy has already been seen acting as Sarah’s confidante, little suspecting though that she is embroiled in the cover-up of a crime at No 8.

Speaking about the upcoming drama revolving around the excavation of Callum’s body, Brocklebank said: “The Sarah thing has been ongoing since just after the live episode. Billy and Sarah have quite a nice friendship going on and I think he’s starting to see that Sarah’s unravelling a bit.

“But he’s not a therapist, he’s a vicar, and there’s a big difference between somebody being able to give advice and just an ear, or a shoulder to cry on. But yes, he is involved in the aftermath of it.”

Coronation Street announced that the drama for the Platts will unfold later this month in a week of episodes that will also see Carla and Nick’s wedding coming under threat.
