Famous for: Playing Coronation Street baddie Kirsty Soames. A role that saw Natalie marry (and then torment) Corrie regular Tyrone Dobbs, and bag Villain of the Year at the 2013 British Soap Awards.

“I have been a huge fan since the series started really, and to be a part of it this year is such a dream for me. It’s the next step in a journey that I’m really enjoying and I never thought I would get chances like this, so I feel really lucky.”

Bio: Natalie told Radio Times in March that Strictly was a show she’d consider taking part in:

“I’m remaining open-minded! I adore the show. I’m a huge fan. So I’d definitely like to consider doing it one day, yeah. I don’t know if I should be acting this year or what’s going to come to me. I want to remain open to anything. But I do love the show, yes.”

Before finding her way to Coronation Street (and the slammer for her villainous efforts), Natalie appeared in Emmerdale, Doctors and Waterloo Road.

In 2008 Natalie also starred in full-length British film Clubbed alongside Silk star Maxine Peake.

Now getting ready to show off her heel ball changes, Natalie says she’s looking for a dance partner with a “sense of fun” and says she’s “far too terrified” to enter the show with any tactics up her sleeve.

On her favourite contestants of previous series Natalie says “In the last series Kimberley Walsh was a beautiful dancer”, adding, “Lisa Riley made the series”.
