What is Hayu?
If you’re a reality TV addict, this might be the on demand service for you…
Hayu. It’s the first all-reality streaming service, featuring over 3,000 episodes of reality shows like Keeping Up the the Kardashians, The Real Housewives, Don’t Tell the Bride, Made in Chelsea, RuPaul’s Drag Race and more. It launched this week.
You’ve got to subscribe to access Hayu’s content. It costs £3.99 a month, but there’s no contract. They also offer a 30-day free trial so you can try before you buy. Virgin Media TV XLTiVo customers also get hayu for free on their service.
Complete box sets of reality TV shows, some of which aren’t available anywhere else in the UK, as well as new episodes which will debut on the service the same day as they air in the US.
The Hayu app also features shareable, short-form videos. The Twitter and Instagram accounts of your favourite stars are also integrated into the app. Handy, eh?
Hayu aren’t planning on following in Netflix’s footsteps anytime soon, but we can expect new series to join the service in the coming months.
