The Waterloo Road production team has released images of them all together in Greenock, Scotland, on the final Waterloo Road shoot ever.
“Today, the bell will ring for the final time!” wrote the production crew on their official Twitter account. “Our gorge cast & crew are filming the very last scenes of #waterlooroad”
The BBC axed the school-based drama in April this year after 10 series. The network promised to reinvest the money for the drama in something new in 2015.
Today’s image features familiar faces and Neil Pearson, who plays new headteacher Vaughan Fitzgerald, plus Casualty actress Laura Aikman and Hollyoaks star Andrew Still, who have also joined the last run of the show.
BBC1 controllers Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson previously said in a statement. “We are incredibly proud of Waterloo Road, and would like to thank [producers] Shed Productions and all the cast and teams involved across the 10 series.”
Waterloo Road’s final season will be 20-episodes long and airs this Autumn on BBC1.
