Coronation Street spoilers: Peter Barlow to be arrested for killing Tina – first look pictures
Rob may be guilty of the crime but it's Peter who comes under suspicion this Thursday
Shock horror – Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is actually innocent of something for which he’s been accused! Yes, Peter may be a serial cheater but he’s no cold-blooded killer. But that doesn’t stop the police from swooping in and putting Peter handcuffs.
Those viewers who watched Coronation Street tonight will have seen pawnbroker Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) confront Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) on the balcony of the builders’ yard and bring about her fall onto the cobbles below.
But tomorrow evening’s episode will see a desperate Rob start to cover his tracks by staging a burglary at Tina’s flat. And in the coming days, weeks and months, Rob will evade suspicion as both Carla (Alison King) and Peter are forced to answer police questions about the murder.
On Thursday night, as these new images released by ITV highlight, Peter will be hauled into custody under suspicion of killing his lover – but will the police eventually get the right man?
For his part, Marc Baylis – who plays Rob – is relieved that the secret is out, having lived in fear of letting it slip ever since the murder was filmed back in April:
“There was one occasion when I had to go out filming in Manchester and we didn’t want the pap photographers who follow us everywhere to get a shot of me. So they dressed me in wellington boots, a long coat and a skeleton mask for the drive out to location,” says the actor.
