Peggy makes a poignant return to her beloved pub


It’s last orders on EastEnders tonight as iconic Walford publican Peggy Mitchell breathes her last – but not before taking a final tour of the beloved boozer that was the scene of so many of her greatest dramas.


From fires to fights by way of numerous yells of “Get outta my pub!”, Peggy certainly ruled the roost at the Queen Vic. So expect plenty of tears as the landlady’s landlady pays a final visit to the bar in scenes to be shown from 7.25pm this evening.

“It’s such a special week and there’s lots of surprises. The episodes are something fans won’t want to miss. They did me proud. It’s a perfect ending for Peggy.”

Tonight’s EastEnders will be preceded by a special edition of The One Show live from the soap’s set in Elstree, while a Peggy-centric BBC iplayer documentary featuring interviews with Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden can be seen from 8pm.
