Faye will go into premature labour in scenes to be shown on Wednesday 1 April after her waters break unexpectedly. Terrified by what’s happening, Faye pleads with Craig (Colson Smith) to track down her mum.

In the end, her best friend breaks the news to a shocked Anna and Owen in Friday’s episode that Faye is about to give birth, while Sophie calls an ambulance after hearing the noise from downstairs.

But despite Faye’s daughter Miley being born safely, it seems that the problems for the Windass family are only just beginning. “Faye doesn’t choose the name for a while because she’s in denial,” says actress Debbie Rush. “But Anna, being the type of mother she is, desperately wants Faye to bond with the baby.”

You can watch the clip of Faye going into labour below. And beneath that, there’s a 60-second rundown of all next week’s drama on Coronation Street.
