Actress Lacey Turner is often to be found getting into bother on the Square as loud-mouth EastEnders character Stacey Branning.
Stacey certainly keeps the actress on her toes with anything from affairs to murder on the agenda.
But while Turner’s been a familiar face on the square for many years, she’s added plenty more shows to her impressive TV CV, including Our Girl which returns tonight after last year’s one-off episode.
Our Girl, 2014
Turner plays Medic Molly Dawes who’s been sent on a six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. As well as getting her head around active duty among the British Army, a fellow soldier turns out to be a face from her past, and it’s someone she’d really rather forget she met. The series has returned for five episodes.
Call the Midwife, 2014
Turner joined the popular BBC drama for just one episode, playing pregnant prison inmate Stella Crangle. It was one of the show’s most dramatic plot lines, with Turner’s character desperately seeking the midwives’ help to keep her baby from being taken away by social services.
Witchcraft was on the agenda for Lacey Turner in 2012 in ITV2’s Switch. It was a six-part drama which saw four young witches living in Camden, attempting to use magic to solve life’s little troubles. The series wasn’t brought back for a second series, with Turner tweeting she was “gutted”.
More supernatural antics as Turner joined Sky Living’s Bedlam as suspended paramedic Ellie Flint. She started seeing ghosts in this drama that followed the lives of those living in a block of flats that used to be a mental asylum.
True Love, 2012
Lacey Turner starred alongside David Tennant in this semi-improvised BBC drama. Turner played Michelle, who’s trying to sort her sister’s love life out.
Being Human, 2011
A werewolf, a vampire and a ghost try and live together in this BBC fantasy drama, with Turner joining for two episodes as ghost Lia.
