Game of Thrones’ Isaac Hempstead-Wright on new film The Boxtrolls

We recently caught up with Bran Stark himself, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, to talk about his new stop-motion film The Boxtrolls.

He plays Eggs (he’s clearly attracted to food-based forenames), a young boy who is raised by unusual creatures called Boxtrolls, and who must rouse them to fight when their existence is threatened by the outside world.

Not that the role is so different to his work on Game of Thrones – “Eggs and Bran are quite similar in a certain sense,” he told RadioTimes.com.

“They both go through a pretty profound identity crisis – Bran realises that he’s a sort of magical wizard tree man, and Eggs realises that he’s a boy.”

And despite acting alongside some big stars on the HBO show he was still a little starstruck when working with Sir Ben Kingsley, who had some particularly odd performance techniques…
