Coronation Street spoilers: Kylie turns matchmaker for Gail – watch the scene

Will Michael the burglar be fooled by Kylie's prank love letter?

A mischievous Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) looks set to be the catalyst for the unlikely relationship that is set to develop between Gail McIntyre (Helen Worth) and Michael Rodwell (Les Dennis).

In scenes to be shown next week, Kylie will show husband David (Jack P Shepherd) a letter on the laptop that she says Gail has written to burglar Michael. The message declares how Gail felt a ‘spark’ between them and it isn’t long before David realises that Kylie has written a spoof letter to send to Michael on her mother-in-law’s behalf.

Speaking about his character’s upcoming involvement with Gail, actor Les Dennis said recently to This Morning: “We certainly have a relationship that will blossom. I’m loving it. Working with Helen and being right in the middle of the Platt family is just great fun.

“What happens is I get a letter in prison from, I think, Gail talking about love and destiny. I turn up on the street in about three weeks’ time and it turns out that it’s Kylie and David who have orchestrated this letter for a bit of a laugh. But the laugh goes badly on them!”
