Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne: “I’ve had it with watching people singing on TV”

“Boring, boring, boring,” says the music manager, who's also fed up with sob stories...

Music manager Sharon Osbourne may have stormed to victory as a judge on last year’s X Factor, but singing reality shows just aren’t her thing anymore, it seems.

“If one more person stands in front of me and sings… I tell you I’ve had it with people singing at me. “And I’ve had it watching people singing on TV,” Osbourne tells US chat show host Conan O’Brien.

Osbourne’s name was initially among the rumoured judges for this year’s X Factor. Fresh from her victory with Sam Bailey, it could have been a fiery panel with Mrs O alongside Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and (most likely) Louis Walsh.

But that’s not looking like it’s on any more as she brands all singing talent shows “too contrived, boring, boring, boring.”

Those classic reality show emotional sob stories aren’t helping either.

“They have either got one lung, one kidney, or they came up like this or like that. They’ve all got somebody sick in hospital. It’s like, ‘Oh lord, shut up and sing’.

“I can’t take it anymore.”

Mrs O can’t even get away from people auditioning while she’s out and about.

“Sometimes it’s happened when I’ve been on planes. A couple of stewards and I’m like: ‘Don’t be singing at me darling, look at the bloody emergency exits’.”
