Natalie Gumede will be returning to Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday.
The 29-year-old actress, who is the bookies’ favourite to take home the Strictly glitterball, has confirmed that she is “fit to dance this Saturday”.
She took to Twitter to share the good news:
The Corrie star was unable to perform in week seven’s live show after fainting during rehearsals. Gumede was taken to hospital and ordered to rest, so missed out on performing a jive to Proud Mary with her professional dancing partner Artem Chigvintsev.
As per Strictly’s rules, Natalie was given a free pass into this week, which will take place at The Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Natalie currently holds the highest score in this series of Strictly Come Dancing after she received 38 points in week six for her Viennese waltz to Devil in Me.
Last week saw Hairy Biker Dave Myers leave the competition, after finding himself in the bottom two opposite Mark Benson.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:30pm on BBC1
