X Factor 2013: Shock as Kingsland Road are voted out after sing-off with Tamera Foster

Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger left in shock as their acts face the sing-off

Even without the Flash Vote this week the X Factor result was full of drama as Gary Barlow’s boy band Kingsland Road was placed in the sing-off with Nicole Scherzinger’s act 16-year-old Tamera Foster.

Both acts gave top notch ‘save me’ performances, adding to the bewilderment in the studio.

But it was over to the judges, and after Gary and Nicole stuck by their own acts, Sharon and Louis voted to save Tamera, meaning Kingsland Road were the latest act to leave the competition.

This is Gary’s second act to go after Miss Dynamix left last week, leaving him with only three-piece boy band Rough Copy left in the competition.

The dramatic result somewhat over-shadowed the guest performances from Little Mix and Taylor Swift – a change of pace after last week’s Lady Gaga bikini-filled appearance.

Next week Sharon Osbourne’s guest mentor and Gary’s fellow Take That star Robbie Williams will take to the stage along with Celine Dion.
