Where to begin? Well, there was a lot of crying – but you could have guessed that right? – Robbie Williams called everyone babe, Louis Walsh rocked a pair of mirrored Ray Bans like a total rock god, Sinitta turned up in a white bikini (naturally) and everyone sat by a swimming pool.

Of course, the bit where the judges get to tell the acts whether they’re staying or going is ‘the hardest bit’ for them. But that doesn’t mean they don’t love a bit of ‘I’m sorry but you’re not not going home and you might, are, not, could possibly, not be, actually are part of my top three.’

After a bit of clarification Sharon Osbourne is taking Lorna Simpson, Shelley Smith and Sam Bailey through to the live shows. Louis Walsh’s team is made up of Sam Callahan, Luke Friend and Nicholas McDonald.

Shelley, now dubbed the Diva from Devon, wins the award for the best reaction ever, giving Sharon a full on “Are you ‘aving a LARF?” Priceless.

Tomorrow night, we’ll find out who Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger choose from their top six.

X Factor continues Sunday (7:10pm) on ITV
