Four brand new pros are set to join the show alongside series regulars Brendan Cole, Anton du Beke, James Jordan, Robin Windsor, Artem Chigvintsev, Pasha Kovalev, Ola Jordan, Kristina Rhianoff, Natalie Lowe and Karen Hauer.

Before they start whipping those celebs into shape, here’s a little peek at their dancing CVs…

Anya Garnis

Most recently seen headlining Broadway’s Burn the Floor and travelling with the show on its World Tour of 20 countries, Russian-born Latin dancer Anya’s ready to make her Strictly debut.

Not that she doesn’t already have SCD connections, having partnered Strictly’s own Pasha Kovalev to the finals of the US Open Ballroom Champsionship several times and appeared on American Strictly-style series So You Think You Can Dance.

Anya’s also been invited to perform at the Emmys, the Oscars and starred in TV shows True Blood and Bones.

Janette Manrara

No stranger to high-profile dancefloors, American born Janette has performed with Jennifer Lopez and was the principle dancer in the TV series and live tour of Glee.

Janette’s used to reality shows, having been a finalist on series five of So You Think You Can Dance USA, and has also starred in the West End’s Burn the Floor, joining the cast in 2010.

Iveta Lukosiute

A returning star, Iveta performed on last year’s series after being called up to replace an injured Aliona Vilani. Now back as a permanent fixture, Iveta can really show off the skills that have twice seen her crowned World Professional Champion in the waltz, cha cha, foxtrot, jive, quickstep and tango (to name a few!).

Iveta’s also starred in similar dance shows in the US, including as a finalist in (yep, you guessed it) So You Think You Can Dance.

Aljaz Skorjanec

Slovenia born Aljaz has represented his country for over a decade in the world Latin and ballroom championships, as well as racking up an impressive 19 Slovenian championship victories.

Aljaz has starred in the Slovenian SCD, Dancing with the Stars, and has performed around the world with the cast of Burn the Floor as one of its leading male dancers.

Kevin Clifton

Kevin has already popped up on Strictly Come Dancing in some of the group performances and is actually engaged to fellow SCD professional Karen Hauer.

Having been taught to dance by his parents, Kevin made his musical theatre debut in 2010 with Dirty Dancing. He’s also been a principal dancer with the Burn the Floor Company for several years.

Kevin is a former Youth World Number One and four time British Latin Champion, with some International Open titles under his belt, too.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to the BBC in the Autumn
