ITV has released images that show the last time viewers will see Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) as she comes face to face with wrongly accused ex Tyrone (Alan Halsall) – only this time it’s her wearing the prison vest.
In last Friday’s episodes, Kirsty admitted her lies to the court and handed over daughter Ruby to Tyrone. But as she’s thrown behind bars for perverting the course of justice, Kirsty has one final demand: a meeting with the man she abused for months.
Tyrone complies but as the pair meet for a final time, what has Kirsty got to say? And as she leaves Weatherfield, can Tyrone truly move on with his life?
Says Natalie Gumede of her Street experience: “Playing Kirsty has been challenging, surprising, daunting, terrifying, exhilarating, devastating: a whole mishmash of emotions! There’s always something about her that fills you with dread or surprise. Every step of the way there’s always been something that has made me wonder how I was going to play it and make it real. It has been difficult at times to play something that I don’t know but I’ve loved every minute of my time on Coronation Street.”
Viewers can see these scenes on Wednesday 3 April.
