Strictly Come Dancing 2011: Audley Harrison

Will the boxer be ducking and diving in this year's Strictly?

Name: Audley Harrison

Age: 39

Famous for: Boxing

Bio: The heavyweight from Harlesden has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in the ring, having worn a number of the sport’s championship belts and earned a gold medal for boxing at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

Made an MBE after his success in Australia, Harrison became a fighter to watch, easily besting his first professional opponents in a series of first-round knockouts. Tipped as the next Lennox Lewis, Harrison won a £1m contract with the BBC to televise his fights.

After the BBC ceased its boxing coverage, Harrison attempted to make a name for himself in America, though his in-ring performance was hindered by injuries, which hampered his stateside career.

Returning to Britain, Harrison won a number of high-profile tournament fights before challenging former WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye to a title bout that ended badly for Harrison.
