EastEnders: Ben and Max are interrogated but who’ll be charged with Lucy’s murder?

Walford's finest put the pair through their paces in the station but who will the police think killed Lucy Beale?

After months of struggling to solve the mystery of Lucy Beale’s murder the Walford police are really stepping up the investigation with two arrests in the space of seven days.

As if taking an innocent Ben Mitchell down the Old Bill earlier this month wasn’t enough to keep them busy, they only went and arrested Max Branning seven days later.

The E20 plod sure do seem to have fun of a Friday night.

DCI Jill Marsden is determined to get her man and she’s not holding back when it comes to the interrogations in scenes to be broadcast on Monday July 27th.

Man about town Max, who was having an affair with Lucy before she was bumped off, hasn’t been honest about where he was on that fateful night and the powers that be want to know exactly what he was up to.

Can he convince Jill, much like he repeatedly convinced poor Tanya, that it’s “not what it looks like?” Pehaps a quick shake of his Strictly snake hips could sway opinion in his favour?

Meanwhile Marsden’s obsession with the Mitchells continues, and poor old Ben begins to crumble under the pressure.

And he thought being caught getting jiggy in a funeral parlour with Paul Coker was bad?

Harry Reid previously told RadioTimes.com he thinks Ben would take the fall for nephew Bobby, but will young Master Mitchell put the “faaaaamily” first when push comes to shove?

Or will it be Max Branning who’s heading behind bars, yet again?
