Has Pat Phelan left Coronation Street?

Eileen kicked Phelan out in tonight's episode - but have we really seen the last of him?

Has Coronation Street aired Pat Phelan’s final scenes? It’s the big question that all fans of the ITV soap will be asking tonight after the villainous builder was booted out by Eileen.

Eileen was seen showing Phelan the door after she finally found out that his building project was a complete scam and that her son Jason (as well as her friends and neighbours) had lost thousands of pounds.

Despite Phelan’s protestations that he and Todd had been hoodwinked by business partner Vinny Ashford, Eileen gave him a slap across the face and told him to pack his bags.

This evening’s cliffhanger then saw Phelan departing the cobbles with a rucksack slung over his shoulder, much to the disgust of Todd, who now knows he must face the wrath of those who have paid a reservation fee of £15,000.

So has Phelan managed to scarper and escape justice for a crime in which he too was complicit? Well, no actually – like all good villains, Pat will be back for more in an upcoming episode.

We’re not going to disclose just how Phelan manages to wheedle his way back in at No 11, but to suffice it to say that by the week’s end, Pat is in Weatherfield once again manipulating his way out of trouble.

As can be seen from this sneak peek look at Friday’s double bill, Phelan is trying to deflect Andy’s suspicions that he was involved in Michael’s death. Just how is he going to talk his way out of this one?
