Rosie Webster is returning to Coronation Street – and yes, actress Helen Flanagan is reprising the role

Find out exactly when Rosie will be making her comeback to the cobbles...

Rosie Webster is making a Coronation Street comeback, with actress Helen Flanagan returning to the role after five years away from the ITV soap.

The 26-year-old will begin filming at the end of the year and is set to be screen until the Spring. Viewers will see Rosie surprise her parents in February when she arrives back to visit them with sister Sophie, who’s returning from their trip to Miami.

As long-time Corrie fans know, Rosie left town in February 2012 to become a reality TV show star and mum Sally has been seen visiting her on numerous occasions. But, until now, Rosie has never actually made it back home.

Show bosses are promising that Rosie’s return “won’t be uneventful”, with producer Kate Oates saying today: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we.

“With Sophie away on holiday with her sister, it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit. We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”

Helen Flanagan added: “I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”
