EastEnders: Phil to put transplant at risk by drinking again?

Has an ailing Phil fallen off the wagon again?

Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is to give his family cause for concern in next week’s EastEnders when they start to think that he’s drinking again.

Upcoming scenes see both Louise (Tilly Keeper) and Sharon (Letitia Dean) worry that Phil has fallen off the wagon when they clock that all is not well with him.

With Sharon refusing to help, Louise will be seen turning to Shirley (Linda Henry) for assistance, only for Phil to then insist that he hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol.

Recent episodes of the BBC1 soap have seen Ben (Harry Reid) decide to save his ailing dad by offering to be a live liver donor.

But when he learns about what’s now going on, he tells a defensive Louise that they should tell the doctor what’s happened – as far as he’s concerned, he’s done with the transplant plans.

So has Phil really jeopardised his own future for the sake of booze? Find out when EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September.
