EastEnders actor Danny Dyer is to explore his own east end roots in the new series of Who Do You Think You Are? – a journey that will reveal his connections to royalty!
The Walford star will trace his family story from poverty and crime in London back through the centuries, with a very surprising result.
A show insider said to the Mirror: “People will be flabbergasted to discover the famous royal Danny is descended from.
“When he found out he could hardly believe it himself. It makes for some gripping television.”

Other celebrities set to take part in the 13th series of the BBC1 genealogy show include Amanda Holden, Sir Ian McKellen, Sophie Raworth, Ricky Tomlinson, Warwick Davis, Liz Bonnin, Greg Davies, Sunetra Sarker and Cheryl.
Amanda Holden’s investigation will bring to light a Napoleonic-era cross-channel romance and the forgotten tragedy of Britain’s worst ever maritime disaster, while Cheryl will discover the story of her long forgotten great grandfather: a quintessential Tommy in the First World War.
