Abusive Gordon Livesy has been imprisoned in tonight’s Emmerdale after being found guilty of raping son Aaron when he was a child.
Emotional scenes just broadcast on the ITV soap saw the jury reach unanimous verdicts on three counts of rape and one count of attempted rape following a week of high tension.
Recent episodes had seen manipulative Gordon attempt to discredit his son’s testimony, only for Aaron’s sister Liv to come through for the prosecution team at the 11th hour.
Outside of the courtroom, Aaron also reconciled with on-off boyfriend Robert, with whom he now seems to be planning a future.
But a show insider as assured RadioTimes.com that the drama will not end here for the tempestuous pair: “Everyone is relieved that Gordon has now been found guilty on all counts.
“Robert will be seen staying over, but expect this domestic bliss to be shattered when Liv turns up wanting to stay with Aaron.”
Next week’s Emmerdale episodes will see Aaron struggling to deal with the enormity of looking after his sister, even forgetting to take her to school. When step-mum Sandra turns up with a plan to move to Ireland, Liv refuses to go. But can she convince Aaron to let her live with him?
As for Aaron and Robert’s relationship, actor Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, recently commented to RadioTimes.com: “I’d definitely like to see them together after all these months of them sneaking around behind people’s backs.
“Hopefully, they’ll have a life together. I want them to find peace and have some happiness.”
