Coronation Street: Sally Ann Matthews to return as Jenny Bradley

Producer Stuart Blackburn confirms that Jenny will be back in spring 2016

Watch out Websters – Jenny Bradley is heading back to Weatherfield!

Coronation Street boss Stuart Blackburn has confirmed that actress Sally Ann Matthews will return to the soap in spring 2016 – but what will the unhinged Jenny’s reappearance mean for Kevin?

Speaking at a press event today, the Corrie producer said: “I’m delighted to say that we’re going to be bringing back Jenny Bradley. With the performance that Sally Ann Matthews gave, how could we not?”

The character of Jenny was last seen in June being carted off after the police foiled her kidnapping of Kevin’s young son son Jack. But it is now believed that Rita will be responsible for facilitating Jenny’s return to the cobbles.

Speaking to the Mirror following her on-screen exit, Mathews hinted that there could be more to come for her on Corrie: “I know there are stories for Jenny. I don’t what they are and I don’t know when they will be, but you haven’t necessarily seen the last of Jenny Bradley.”

Co-star Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin, also expressed a hope that Jenny would return: “I loved the drama with Jenny Bradley. Sally Ann Matthews is a fantastic actress to work with, and yes, I’d love to have her back,” he said last month.
