EastEnders actors Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright star alongside Tom and Jerry for Children in Need

Mick and Linda Carter get a visit from the animated duo for this year's charity fundraiser

Tom and Jerry will be dropping in at the Queen Vic pub for Children in Need when they pay a visit to Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) from EastEnders.

The cat and mouse stars will be tasked by Terry Wogan to raise money for the charity fundraiser and also end up encountering the likes of the Strictly Come Dancing judges, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in The Great British Bake Off tent, as well as Lord Sugar in The Apprentice boardroom.

The animation isn’t the only contribution to Children in Need to be made by EastEnders. A mini episode will also see Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) haunted by a quartet of Walford women, when the late Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Cindy (Michelle Collins), Pat (Pam St Clement) and Lucy (Hetti Bywater) reappear.

Children in Need will be broadcast from the EastEnders set at Elstree this Friday from 7.30pm on BBC1.
