Halloween in Albert Square is to see the Queen Vic given a spooky makeover and landlord Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) dressing up as Frankenstein’s monster.
The occasion will be marked by Ronnie (Samantha Womack) and Charlie’s (Declan Bennett) engagement party, but there’ll be plenty of eerie goings-on too.
An EastEnders insider told RadioTimes.com: “Everything kicks off at Halloween when secrets are spilled! Lauren’s freaking out when she still feels like she’s being followed so when she sees someone in a weeping angel mask behind her she decides to chase them down and unmask them…it’s spooky stuff!
“Back in The Vic, the Halloween party is in full swing but whilst they are all enjoying themselves, poor old Dot thinks she’s seen the ghost of Nick! The cast love to dress up in costumes so had a great time filming the episode.”
EastEnders has a history of offering macabre tricks and treats over Halloween. Notable storylines include evil Trevor Morgan dying in a house fire in 2002, while last year saw manipulative Michael Moon stabbed to death by Janine Butcher.
This year’s episodes will see the villainous Nick Cotton return to Walford for the first time since 2009. Speaking recently about his imminent comeback, actor John Altman said: “With the promise of some hard hitting and gritty storylines, I’m sure the residents of Albert Square will be none too pleased to see Nick Cotton back on the streets of Walford.”
